... well at least you've labelled yourself as a new player...

so basiclly if someone is in the area for the 1st time you want them to know understand what is happening and if they choose not to do what you want you want to act like a jackass to them? grow up.
Matches perfectly with...

Keep it the way it is. The majority of the team shouldnt be able to just walk over the newbie on their first time through...

They have fixed the minion thing...so it is fine now.

Keep it the way it is.

If someone is on his first pass through the game, he should be allowed to watch the cutscenes even if he's teamed up with stressed-out farmers.

They should change it so that you watch it as an individual not as a group.

The time spent in cutscenes doesn't count towards the total time spent in missions, that was fixed along with the minion degen.

The rights of the one person who paid money for the game and wants to see it outweighs everything else. And they should get rid of the "7 out of 8" message to take pressure off.

I've seen them enough times - the only time I don't skip is when there is no MM but some selfish person is still pressuring others to skip. It warms my heart that I can bring unhappiness into the life of that sort of person.

But letting people skip and move on individually at the end would be good.

Bad enough that some people feel pressured to skip the cutscenes on their first time through the game when they've never seen it, just because 7/8 have chosen to skip the cinematic.

Hmmm someone needs to take a look in the backlog of posts. This same issue has been brought up several times before. Anet has made it clear that they have no intetion of changing the way cutscenes work in order to be more fair to those who want to watch. I agree it is annoying and I also agree that allowing those who press skip to go ahead and skip would be the best option, but I don't see it being implemented.

Thank GOD for the wisdom of those at ANET who know better than a bunch of preteens on caffeine. There is no need for fear of cinematic scenes since ANET eliminated HP loss of minions and stopped timers during cinematic scenes.

If I want to watch a cutscene, I have the right to watch it w/o getting flammed for it.

I did glady will skip even if I wanted to watch cutscene's if we had a MM with minions in the group or a timmer but now that's fixed.

I will skip if someone w/ a vamp item asks for it but that is then only reason why I will skip if I didn't want to.

It's invalid to assume somone has watched the cutscene before too, there's always new people to GW.

Also if I see a 6/8 on the skip, I hold off to help reduce the pressure for the person to skip. If it goes to 7/8 and I don't see it then I will skip.

Probably because every group in most mission areas is a masters group. Its not too bad as I managed masters on most missions first time through.
